Between November 13th and 16th, Dr. Marcio Crisóstomo participated in the 27th World Congress of ISHRS (International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery), in Bangkok, Thailand. He participated as a guest speaker and performed live demonstrative surgery during the Congress.

Dr. Márcio Crisóstomo
Plastic surgeon trained at Prof. Ivo Pitanguy, with exclusive dedication to hair transplant and baldness treatment and Title of Specialist in Hair Restoration issued in the United States (Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration surgery). With over 20 years of surgical experience and many contributions to the specialty, he coordinates one of the largest hair transplant teams in the country.
Surgical Techniques
FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction)
In this technique, the follicular units are removed one by one from the scalp. It is necessary to shave the scalp, totally or partially. The absence of a linear scar allows the use of very low haircuts. Dr. Márcio was one of the introductors of this technique in Brazil.

Classical Technique (FUT)
A strip of scalp is removed and the follicular units are prepared one by one under the microscope. A discreet scar remains in place and is covered by the hair. It is the technique that offers greater discretion in the postoperative period.
